More people choose Vanilla products over any other prepaid card on the market because they are safe, secure, reliable, and easy to use. With these helpful tips, you can begin enjoying all of the benefits your MyVanilla Card or Mio Card has to offer.

ATM

When using your MyVanilla Card or Mio Card to withdraw funds at an ATM make sure to select "Checking" when presented with account options.

Know Your Balance

Merchants cannot determine the balance of your Card. So, if you try to purchase an item of greater value than your Card balance, your Card will be declined.

Keep Your Receipts

It is recommended that you keep all receipts of purchases made with your Card.

Split Transactions

If you need to make a purchase that is greater than the amount on your Card, most retailers will allow you to use a second payment method - cash, check, credit card or debit card - for the difference. Not all merchants accept split transactions.

Dining Out

Some restaurants do not have the technology to determine the balance on your Card. Therefore, they may put a hold on your Card equal to the amount of your meal plus up to 20% or more in anticipation of you leaving a tip. So, make sure to know your balance.

Reloading Your Card is Easy

There are two simple options for reloading your MyVanilla Card or Mio Card:

  1. Find a Vanilla Reload Network retailer near you, pick up a Vanilla Prepaid Reload and add any amount from $20-$500, then visit vanillareload.com to apply the funds to your MyVanilla Card or Mio Card. Some Vanilla Reload Network retailers have the ability to reload your Card at the register.
  2. Download the Direct Deposit form in the My Account section and have money from your paycheck added automatically.
